Formed in 1988, Four Motors for Europe consists of Baden-Württemberg, Catalonia, Lombardy, and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, with a combined population of 50 million. As important economic centers in Europe, they share research capabilities, sustainable development values, and industrial strengths. The alliance promotes cooperation in research, innovation, business, and education, leading to economic growth and new technologies/products. It also drives joint projects and initiatives to strengthen European unity/integration and promotes strong bonds across borders. Auvergne Rohne-Alpes
